This workshop is designed especially for those who have never tried outdoor rock climbing, as well as for boulderers who want to take the next step. You will learn the fundamentals of rock climbing in a safe, fun, and personalized setting.
Objective
The goal is for students to have a first rock climbing experience, learning about technical equipment and the most commonly used belay systems.
Course Content
- Safety and risk management at a climbing area.
- Introduction to equipment used in sport climbing.
- Top-rope climbing.
- Knots.
- Belay techniques with ATC and GriGri.
- Climbing technique.
- Reading climbing sector topos.
- How to keep progressing in climbing.
Recommendations
- Appropriate clothing for the weather.
- High-ankle trekking shoes.
- Sun hat.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Trail food or light snacks for
- eating during class.
- Quick lunch and snacks for
- breaks.
- At least 2 liters of water.
To book the workshop, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50%
must be paid the day before the workshop, no later than
the day before the scheduled date.
If you have already paid and decide not to take the workshop, you must request the
50% deposit refund at least 48 hours before the scheduled date.
Otherwise, the 50% will not be refunded. However,
you will have the option to reschedule.
